Volunteer - General Job Requirements
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities and welcome all skills. Pursuant to working with API communities and/or AIDS education and prevention, there are four general guidelines which we follow:
- All volunteers will sign a confidentiality agreement which requires them to uphold professional standards of confidentiality.
- Any volunteer who may be on-site regularly and/or frequently, as well as those who work with clients, will be required to show proof of a recent, negative TB test.
- Some jobs will require extra training, such as an HIV/AIDS and LGBT sensitivity workshop.
- Most importantly, volunteers should be comfortable working with a very diverse community, one that encompasses all sexualities and API ethnicities.

Mission Statement
The mission of Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team (APAIT) is to positively affect the quality of life for Asian and Pacific Islanders living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS by providing a continuum of prevention, health and social services, community leadership and advocacy to the Southern California region.
