
The Board of Advisors are always on the look out for
individuals who would like to volunteer their time through
the following Board standing committees:
1. Board Development
The purpose of the committee is to recruit new Board
members, to nominate members to the Executive Committee,
and to keep track of Board members’ attendance
and terms of service. This committee, along with a member
of the Executive Committee and the Division Director,
shall interview candidates and make recommendations
to the Board, which will then vote on admission.
The Board is also reviewing the creation of an Honorary Board Committee whose main purpose is to provide visibility and presence on behalf of the organization during special fundraising and community events.
The Board is currently looking for potential Board and Honorary Board candidates in the field of philantrophy, corporations, foundations or individual donor giving.
2. Fund Development / Fundraising
The purpose of this committee is to assist the Division
Director and the Resource Development staff with a specific
emphasis on raising “non-allocated” funds
for APAIT.
Ideal members for the committee must have experience in fundraising, special events planning and/or organizing, grantwriting or grant reviewing, or have viable contacts to assist the organization in seeking funds for general operational discretion.
3. Finance
The purpose of this committee is to assist the Division
Director on budget planning and evaluation of financial
and employee management systems as requested.
